• Programming as a part time job?

Programming has always interested me and I was wondering if there are part time or casual jobs where you can code stuff for people; websites programs etc If so, what languages are the best. I realise this is looking forward a lot, but I was just wondering. PHP and MySQL sound like very practical languages especially for coding stuff." (Realise this isn't a C++ thread but for some reason the icons didn't show up in the make thread page so I couldn't see what to choose)
You could always try to find job in a consulting company.
Well MySQL isn't a programming language, it's a relational database management system. There are lots of freelance jobs in PHP for making web pages, for app development some of the most common languages required for freelance jobs appear to be C#and Java.

Just try looking around first. When I placed my resume on a website for computer science jobs, where I clearly stated I had just a few months of PHP experience, I got 2 emails back on the first day for web development jobs.
I have a part time programming job. All my random flash work in high school paid off.
