So, I potentially have a role as a Technical Team Lead cropping up with one of the largest online affiliate companies in Germany / Berlin. Did a skype interview and things went silky smooth the CTO was really impressed and mentioned how he's taking a step back in the business over time and that they are looking to take on a Team Lead to help drive things forward. I currently work as a development lead in the UK, but wanted to know what I should be asking for as an equivalent position in Germany, more specifically Berlin for when the inevitable salary question gets brought up.
Some people have told me 55k EUR, but I know someone who applied for the same company as a senior front-end and was also offered 50k EUR. So not sure about the Berlin / general German economics regarding this field.
