Ironswine - Flash games site WIP - Developers

Website (WIP) - [URL="http://www.ironswine.com"]www.ironswine.com[/URL] Ironswine is a flash games site I've been working on for a while now. It's also the first website I've ever used PHP or JS on. I'm pretty proud of it so far, and I think it has the potential to become pretty popular. One reason for my confidence is that it has a few interesting features that no (or very few) other flash game sites that I know of have, such as: [LIST] [*]A personalized recommendation system [*]The 'console box' which uses Ajax to search for games with certain tags [*]A forum rating system (sorry garry) [*]Easter eggs [*]And an achievement system (WIP) [/LIST] Obviously some of those features are a little more important than others, but I like to think that each one adds to the user experience. I plan on developing a bunch of flash games before officially going into beta in order to get some free publicity, but the web development aspect of the site is going to be done relatively soon. I'm here hoping to get some constructive criticism on the site design and feature implementation before I wrap up. Every comment is much appreciated FP, thanks!

Looks simply awesome. Add a chat box (like Kongregate) and a point system that gives you points for getting achievments, and it will be even better.

Looks pretty good right now, I like the design.

I did forget to mention that if you look at the site in Internet Explorer, you will have a thoroughly different experience than the one I intend for you. Fixing that is on my to-do list.

it might be because he isnt using fixed heights, and the Recent Creations div is slightly taller than the userbox

one more suggestion would be once the website is done and you get a good community would be to replace the top ad with a "flash of the month" type of ad, users submit flash and the ratings get tallied to see which one is the most fitting for an award

Looks pretty nice. The colours good still use a little work though. You could change the links to a different colour when hovering over them.

It seems to me that the colors are in need of a little fixing then. Are they too dark for certain monitors?

Nice needs a colour choice box or something not a fan of the darkness

It's really nice, a lotta features. Afraid to say it, but I'm not too big on the design :/

I do like the style, but perhaps a skinning / color changing feature is in order, as others said.

This is good to know. I was never sold on the design myself, but after a lot of work, I figured this wasn't too atrocious and I stuck with it. Guess it's back to the drawing board.

The Find-Games bars needs more explanation than just "Click here" Other than that, I like the design. Rated Artistic :golfclap:

Its too dark IMO, but otherwise it's pretty good
