I was really wondering if anybody could make tutorials or post links of how to create a straight forward 2-D C++ game. Just pretty basic like a character, some items, and some other basic side scroller items. Also I was wandering what the game by Facepuch, Facewound, what was it made with? What programs or programming language.
Facewound was written in C++ and uses pure DirectX for its graphics. The code was compiled with Microsoft Visual C++'s compiler.
google. if you can't learn to use that then good luck.
The programming forum is here for a reason, if you just go "LOLOL www.google.com" to every query you're not really participating or contributing

If you decide to go with C++, then I might as well recommend SFML as your choice of multimedia library If you choose C#, then you might wanna give XNA a go. I don't like it very much, but a lot of people do so you could try it out Edit: Woops, didn't read OP properly. C++ it is
