Hi there people! I'm looking for someone to write a script for 3DS Max for a very good payment (9000$). The script itself is very complex, so it demands for a professionally skilled person, who also knows basics of 3DS Max. Here are some example scenes (for 3DS Max 2014, 2013 and 2012), which also describes details of the task. Contact info: Mail: megacrash23@yandex.ru
I looked at your example scene. Dare I ask what this is? [t]http://i.imgur.com/eMEKLGm.gif[/t]
I looked at your example scene. Dare I ask what this is? [t]http://i.imgur.com/eMEKLGm.gif[/t]
Articulator. It imitates the movement of a jaw (lower jaw in this case).
Listen mate, if you're willing to pay $300 it'd be well worth your time to solicit it on a 3DS Max forum to find someone with actual experience. The demographic of the programmers here seem to be those interested in game development, simulations and graphics. There's the web development community north of this forum but beyond that I don't think people have the experience here. It's possible you may be pushing it here for cheapness, but honestly I think you'd get a lot more help if you went to a forum full of people passionate about this kind of stuff. So go to the 3DS Max communities, I'd suggest not asking for something for something 'very complex' as while that might sound cool it's generally not great for programmers as we battle complexity, instead you should explicitly outline what it is you want in a paragraph to catch attention.

They said (and i was sure of it) that it can be done only with some plugin or script. So, about scripts. Maxscript demands programming skills, right? Which why i created this thread here in hope to find someone skilled in Maxscript. But if what you said is true
The demographic of the programmers here seem to be those interested in game development, simulations and graphics.
then i really have nothing to do here.
That's a wide request, and as Jookia mentions, poorly worded from the coder's point of view. Have you tried giving it a go yourself? I don't work with 3DS Max, therefore, I have trouble comprehending the full scale of the request, but I'm sure it could be achieved with enough determination, as with much else programming-related. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe this type of post is forbidden by the rules
[...] The demographic of the programmers here seem to be those interested in game development, simulations and graphics. [...]
Physics too :v: I can roughly see what this would involve mathematically, but there is no general solution for the movement (provably so, unless you accept that the mechanism can lock up in certain directions), I don't know anything about 3DS Max whatsoever and I also don't freelance. People get banned at times, but that's for much worse threads than this one. But if what you said is true then i really have nothing to do here.
If you can't find someone to do it in programming/3DS Max forums, you'll likely have to advertise the job on an actual freelance site. (People here are mostly either hobbyists in education or have a day job already, so I think not many will take a project they wouldn't work on by themselves at some point.) There are a few large freelance sites but it would probably be more costly than what you're offering right now.
Too uninformative? Definitely.
It's informative enough for max users (the description included in the .max file).
I can roughly see what this would involve mathematically, but there is no general solution for the movement (provably so, unless you accept that the mechanism can lock up in certain directions), I don't know anything about 3DS Max whatsoever and I also don't freelance.
That's caused by poor preview that have been made not by me.
There are a few large freelance sites but it would probably be more costly than what you're offering right now.
Money is not a problem, not at all if i'll fin the right person for this task. So what are the links for those "large freelance sites", or maybe one that you consider the best?
It's informative enough for max users (the description included in the .max file).
It's still a good idea to make the task description accessible. Do you think people will actually download an archive just to get a general idea of a potential job if other stuff is right there in plain text and clearly worded? You can definitely condense the problem description into one or two paragraphs. (Though having the animation for clarification is certainly not bad.)
That's caused by poor preview that have been made not by me.
It's a mathematical issue, if the planes are oriented in certain ways movement becomes impossible. Floating point errors will likely lead to inaccurate behaviour near those points, since the reaction movement necessary to follow a control point along the constraints becomes infinite. Also: If you post something it doesn't matter if it was made by you or not. If you use it people will assume that you yourself think it's good enough. If that's not the case you should get it improved before posting it.
Money is not a problem, not at all if i'll fin the right person for this task. So what are the links for those "large freelance sites", or maybe one that you consider the best?
A quick Google gave me this which I can't vouch for since I have exactly zero experience with this kind of work: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/50-freelance-job-sites-for-designers-programmers-best-of/ The good sites should be on there though. Programmers will generally apply for jobs with a quote, then you can choose one based on that and their previous work/qualifications.
