title states it all, btw, i dont want reasons such as: jcreator graphics are shit, or similiar, i want some actual legitimate reasons please
Someone likes netbeans and not jcreator. This is purely a matter of preference if both work as expected.
im trying to convince my school to switch
im trying to convince my school to switch
Then you tell us why you think Netbeans is better.
-snip- nvm
well I don't know how your exam board works, but I think mine (AQA, in the UK) use NetBeans, so we use it in class. [editline]6th November 2010[/editline] Plus the teacher prefers it over JCreator - we have JC installed, but we don't use it at all.
i personally see jcreator as a glorified text editor with a java compiler in it... I personally see netbeans as better due to the fact that it has better features and a better error checker
i personally see jcreator as a glorified text editor with a java compiler in it... I personally see netbeans as better due to the fact that it has better features and a better error checker
Then use these reasons trying to convince the people at your school?
i would like some more reasons please
i would like some more reasons please
If your personal preference is your main argument why the fuck should the school switch all the other students to your favourite editor? If you're looking to go into programming as a career then you are going to have to learn to adapt. Programmers spend their life adapting to use new libraries, tools and techniques. If you can't adapt and learn something new then you're not going to get far.
Assuming your school uses a system where you are given a specific partition of space on a server to hold data, just install netbeans to that directory and set it up with the computer's java compiler; unless you're not allowed to do that.
The IDE can't be better, you can be better at using an IDE. I have never heard of JCreator, though
Wow it's like saying to your school "Oh lets switch our operating systems to Linux cause its better." Why are you asking us for reasons, if you want them to switch you should have reasons.
Bit off topic but could you edit the title and add a question mark to the end? every time i see the title i think its a thread where your giving the reasons not asking for them. (yes i have seen the request logo)
i personally see jcreator as a glorified text editor with a java compiler in it...
What is Visual C++ but a glorified text editor with a C++ compiler in it? That's really not a reason.
The IDE can't be better, you can be better at using an IDE. I have never heard of JCreator, though
Sorry but that's completely stupid. Of course an IDE can be better than another one.
