• XAML - I need help!

Hello Facepunch, I hope you are all feeling in a helpful mood today... :downs: I am at the moment jobless, as are many people where I live, and as a consequence finding a job is near impossible. But I have recently gotten an offer to work at E-scape, a local company that does everything from game development, (Although only games for companies, e.g The National Lottery) web design, digital marketing etc etc... They have tasked me with learning XAML as quickly and thoroughly as possible, but I am having a hard time finding any good starter tutorials as XAML is only the GUI for the programming for the actual application (Normally in C# I believe) behind it. In case it matters, I have a little experience in HTML and CSS, and according to my basic knowledge HTML is also a mark-up language, so surely there must me some transferable experience. I am also having a hard time finding ways to use this language in a practical fashion which is a great help when it comes to learning a new language, unlike HTML/CSS, which you can see what you are creating straight away, and that visual feedback is the only thing that can keep my impatient mind at rest. So I am here to ask you, Facepunch to either point me in the right direction, or to help me or whatever you can do. All help is greatly appreciated. Pretty please with a :zoid:on top...

It must just be me, not the tutorials, because I am finding this seemingly user friendly language really quite hard to begin with. I am going to try and find out what they actually use this for, to give me more context.
Try looking at the starter tutorials for Silverlight as it uses XAML too. http://www.silverlight.net/learn/creating-ui
