Well, I was learning to use Visual Studio to code C# in Windows when I switched to Linux to save my laptop. (Long story.)
I was wondering what programs I could use that are similar to VS to continue learning C#. Using Ubuntu, if that makes a difference.
I figured it would go here instead of Linux, since it's more coding.
Mono is an open source implementation of C# with MonoDevelop being a common IDE. It should be in apt.
Very nice, thanks!
Don't expect C# to be in GNU/Linux for long, though.

Stop posting about this. It's not going anywhere soon.
The longer it takes for Microsoft to kill off C# from GNU/Linux, the more GNU/Linux advances.

:frog:
You make Linux sound like a Hollywood villain.
Also Mono supports running Windows .NET EXE's.
Just type in console
chmod +x file.exe
./file.exe
yea, because microsoft can stop a standardized language being used on a platform.
Software patents.

Come back when you've hopped off the 'l33t h4rdc0r3 fsck M$' bandwagon.
Actually that's CHKDSK. Fsck looks like this:
fsck isn't microsofty enough, so i used chkdsk
