As the title suggests. Anyone got a good project idea for us to be cracking on with?
Jup, here :D preferably something graphically / 3d related.
A game with an original idea that hasn't been done yet. Something like robot sheep fighting aquatic moose in a space environment.
A game with an original idea that hasn't been done yet. Something like robot sheep fighting aquatic moose in a space environment.
Canada: The Game
That's obviously way to exciting to be canada. :canada:
Canada: The Game
Great idea. Let's make and become billionares! Anyway, I'd contribute ideas but my main problem is that I never have any.
That'd make a pretty sweet game though.
I always have new ideas on the backburner, I have to keep myself from starting on them when i'm working on a project, or i'll get too involved and drop the one i was on
Something like virtual desktops except with layers.
If anyone knows any good ideas for programming projects please post.
I read somewhere that writing a simple MSPaint-like program is good practice, you could try that.
Video game Desktop, with a working video game in it, walk around and start apps using entitys. Programming game, you make it as you go, fps style though.
Fuck Shit Up.
Video game Desktop, with a working video game in it, walk around and start apps using entitys. Programming game, you make it as you go, fps style though.
Both of those ideas are things I've always wanted to do, not quite good enough to attempt either of them yet though
Try making an FPS, something worth playing and hard to hack.
Fuck Shit Up.
Oh FUCK YES!

Anybody know of some open source GBA emulators? GBA Emulation + ROM modding = the amazing desktop. Pokemon + Modified App Starting Elements = sexehness. The app starting element in the rom would probably be a lot of work though.
Me and some of my dormmates are working on a Pokedex in Java. :v: We're bored.
I wonder why most of the suggestions have been "make a game" and not some kind of program.
A lot of the things that pop up here have to do with gaming.
Alright, since this is mostly a gaming forum, I have always wanted to make a ide with drop in library and a catalog of them. Also i want to make a cross between cad and garrysmod, real time hammer + garrysmod.

We could so totally write a book... Call it "Programming Ideas, Puzzles and Solutions" And the release it under the CC license, BECAUSE PROGRAMMERS SHOULD!
Make a mathematical program that can show what a variable is if you input an equation. Like if you type in "(15(3x+15))/92=45" it'll return "x=87".

Browse the internet using an FPS perspective. Use voxels for images. Shoot links to go to the next page. Make paragraphs float around freely, so you can explore it a bit more.
