Where does the whole converting AS3 to iPhone stand? Has Adobe worked out a deal with Apple yet? I fucking hate Apple right now, those fucking FAGGOTS!
then don't develop for them (and no it's still banned)
Better yet, Don't BUY from them.
apple is a bunch of idiots.
apple is a bunch of idiots.
Their profits say otherwise.
If you google a bit, you can actually compile Flash apps from Flash CS5 without a developer's license. Just for fun. I've tried it and it works, well... not really, it's really choppy.
Not fussed..., its pointless to be fussed no smartphones run flash properly
Their profits say otherwise.
Their profits come from their amazing ability to market their products. The decision to cut-off flash makes little sense, assuming that it doesn't really cut battery life. If you've got any macfags on facebook, you can see when the iPad came out they all wanted one, even though there are plenty of similar products for less money.

The irony is that a whole heap of people complaining about these 'macfags' were probably lined up outside their local PC store all night waiting for Windows 7.

It's the best commercial OS released to date. Mac OS X doesn't count because you can't install it on your average PC.
Whether or not OS X is the best OS is your opinion. I certainly do not share it.
I'm making my website in Flash CS5 using AS3 and I don't really care about the very tiny market that tries to view flash on iphones, they won't hire me to design anything viewing my portfolio on a phone anyway.
They won't hire you to design anything if you make YOUR ENTIRE WEBSITE in flash, either! Not if they have any sense...
Their profits say otherwise.
They're idiots with marketing geniuses.

Though I was using RC for a while afterwards since I was too lazy to wipe it.
A lot of you guys don't understand. Flash CS5 has the ability to compile AS3 directly into native Objective C. It's not ACTUALLY flash beyond that point. However, Apple being the fags that they are, decided that they won't allow apps that have used this conversion process. For whatever reason.

Well, it's actually still flash, it's just been translated. You havn't written Obj-C for the iphone (which is what they want) you've written flash and pushed it through a translator. They disallowed it because they don't want to have to wait for adobe to implement new APIs when they update iPhone OS. I don't blame them, Adobe takes ages to update anything.
Even if that WAS the reason they disallowed ALL translation tools (There are a lot more than CS5), it's a really stupid one.
I wouldn't want a 3rd party in control of what developers can do on my platform, would you? It might take months before the latest feature could be used by people using a translator. And they'd have to disallow them all, they can't just say Adobe can't make one because they are slow to update.
*sigh* I like how you think that Apple actually cares that their users might not get the best.
How can they sell their new features to users if hardly any apps use them? Edit And how does what I say mean I think apple cares about their users? You just seem angry that you can't use Flash on a platform it was not designed for.
