Hey guys,
I'm just wondering if you have any recommendations for resources on how to learn Objective-C and iPhone development in general?
I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around what seems to be a somewhat backwards language.
Are there any books, eBooks or websites that are good for starting off on?
Cheers,
Dog
Apress puts out a book called Beginning iPhone 3 Development. It was what helped me grasp everything. :v:
I am actually doing iPhone development for a mentored research next semester and am teaching myself over the summer. I haven't picked up any books yet, but if you already know OOP I suggest reading over apple's documentation.

Also Stanford University has free recordings of their lectures on iphone development on iTunes U. They are very helpful.
As for books, I will probably be picking up the Apress, Beginning iPhone Development 3, book this summer. Apple's developer website, forums, and tutorials are also helpful.
I'll take a look at the Stanford Uni lectures - but I'll most likely buy the Beginning iPhone 3 Development book.
I keep hearing good things about it.

Thanks Orpheusxx1 and andersonmat!
OBJECTIVE C!!!!!!!!
*shakes fist*
It just seems so backwards to me! Haha
And I've had some experience with OOP.
Objective C leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's the bastard of the C family a mix of smalltalk and C. :saddowns:
You can get away with a lot of C++ and there's a bunch of boiler-plate Objective-C code.
