• Script for encoding and streaming HD videos?

Does anyone know of a script that will encode and stream HD videos like on youtube (just the video portion - I don't care if it has a comment system or anything). I am so sick of uploading a 10GB HD video to youtube. It usually takes me over two hours (sometimes up to ten) depending on how much youtube is throttling my connection that day. Sometimes I upload at an amazing .5Mbps and sometimes I upload at 25Mbps (again, depends on how much they throttle me - I rarely upload at 25Mbps to youtube). And then I have to pause the video and wait a hour for it to buffer when trying to view my native 1080p video - because they like to throttle my download speed to .5Mbps. So yes, basically I'm sick of youtubes shit. I have a dedicated server with a 1Gbps connection and 100TB monthly transfer - more then enough for me and some friends. I don't care if the script costs money. If you know of any (reasonably priced) scripts that will be able to encode and stream 1080p videos, then please link them. Thank you for your time.

(hit "open" under the player, select dirt2.. please don't try unless you have 5Mbps - 10Mbps down. If you have 1920x1080+, hit full screen to see the video played in 1080p.)
HTML5 and it's ability to embed media directly. Everything you'll then need is to create a player for it(just some HTML and CSS). But I doubt that your hosting provider would give you a upload speed of 25mbps... maybe 1mbps if you're lucky. Also, 10GB for a HD video? What kind of codec are you using(wait, we're talking about videos, not movies right?)? :wtc: Have you tried out Vimeo? It's basically the same as YouTube, but more designed for HD videos.

I only tried the 10GB one once. Although Vimeo does look promising, I would rather just host myself since I'm paying for a server already. Although HTML5 does look promising. I will look into that.
