I posted 2-3 times about this in the WAYWO thread, but either I get pushed out by better projects, or I miss the replies, so to be able to keep track of them I decided to make a new Thread. [/release] [b]Goals:[/b] [release] The goals in this game are simple, you have to (probably) gain independence from an universal Emperor by beating his army, once you won, additional game-play elements are unlocked and your cities now form an empire on their own, with possibly your own vassals. [/release] [b]Buildings[/b] [release] Everytime you buy something in this game, the required resources are being taken from the local storage. So to be able to buy/build assets you need resources. They are provided by the buildings your men occupy. For now I have these: [release] [b]Town Center[/b] ________________________________________ It allows you to unlock a new tier of buildings and units. This is the most important building. Every town has it by default. If activated it gives you some gold and wood. [/release] [release] [b]Wood Cutter Lodge[/b] (Simple) ________________________________________ The wood cutter lodge gives you wood if activated. Every level gives more. [/release] The game mechanic might be complicated to grasp but I believe once you have the hang of it, it will get easier. [release] [b]The game mechanics[/b] [release] [b]Building and getting resources[/b] _________________________________________ Building and getting resources is almost the same process only one is automated the other one, isn't. When you want to build something you have to tell your citizens to help the construction. That is automatic, if you don't have enough free citizens, you simply cannot build that building. The resource process is similar, only, here the citizen work in batches that vary from 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours(maximum). At the end of the batch you gain all the ressources they collected or made. This means for example, when you assign 10 men to the woodcutter lodge, on level 1 you gain 10x(7*(1.2x<your_level>))x any additional multiplier. Once assigned to a task the citizen will not stop (somehow). I know this doesn't make any sense for now, but once I am done scripting/coding it, it will all be alot easier to understand.
