Hey guys. We're running a promotion over on StuzzIT for FacePunch members, and I'm hoping that you'll find the coupon codes useful if you're planning on starting up a new site. The first code is facepunch50, which gives you 50% off of your first order from StuzzIT, for any non domain purchase. The second code is facepunch25, which gives you 25% off of your hosting from StuzzIT for life. Note that none of these coupons give discounts on domain names, but domains start at $4.50 per year. Not including discounts, our packages are: Personal: 1GB disk space, 10GB transfer – $1.95 per month. Business: 5GB disk space, 50GB transfer - $4.95 per month. Professional: 10GB disk space, 100GB transfer – $8.95 per month. For more information, see www.StuzzIT.com
wow, could your ToS be any stricter.
Too bad your site looks like it was designed by a five year old. :saddowns:

KSI, you're incredibly good at reposting things other people have pointed out.
Haha sorry about the strict ToS. Just want to keep everything safe haha.
Too bad your site looks like it was designed by a five year old.
Trust me, it used to look worse haha. I do plan on redesigning the site in the future, and if anyone does have any good ideas for it, let me know, I'd like to see them.
Haha, you better redesign it soon, haha. Haha
Haha, you better redesign it soon, haha. Haha
Is there anything specific you feel needs to be changed?
If someone wants to switch, why should they pick yours over someone elses? For example: https://www.lithiumhosting.com/ Lithium Hosting is an amazing host, for $10/yr you can get more bandwidth, storage and unlimited everything else for less than at StuzzIT.

When you purchase a hosting account from us, the resources are allocated specifically for your account. It is very likely that Lithium Hosting, being a larger host is able to offer this simply because they know that the vast majority of people will never use these resources. If every customer with that package was to max out that plan they would definitely have some issues.

Most of the best hosts do this, because it means they can pass on savings to customers.

We don't oversell our servers, meaning your site will always be as quick as it should be, no matter who you're sharing your server with.
I hate this deceptive UNLIMITED EVERYTHING shit. If people were to start using more than they have, they simply get more resources. Those who do not use what they have available make up for those who do. It's the same rule that applies at all you can eat buffets. What matters is whether or not the host is ready to handle low resources. [editline]06:35PM[/editline]
I hate this deceptive UNLIMITED EVERYTHING shit. I'm glad I have my own server, so I can stay away from it.
If you look at the word 'unlimited' as 'we will buy more resources for you as you use them up', you'd understand what unlimited really meant rather than thinking 'how can it be unlimited there is no way they can never run out of disk space that's physically not possible'.
That's called a business tactic, they can do it, they're clearly successful at it. Most of the best hosts do this, because it means they can pass on savings to customers.
Of course. To be perfectly honest the main reason I haven't been offering unlimited everything et cetera was simply because I didn't want to take the risk, and actually I do have a few customers who do come very close to filling up their quotas. If there is enough demand for it of course, I will raise the limits, however people obviously are still buying hosting from me, and of course, yes, I will be offering more space and bandwidth in the future.
OK since I've been getting quite a lot of people from here saying the design sucked, would anyone care to check again? I've just made a few minor changes, and I want to know if people here think I'm going in the right direction? Note that you may have to clear your cache. Thanks, 7031. www.StuzzIT.com

www.StuzzIT.com
No, your problem is that your website is a bunch of HTML divs and images and text. It has no (convincing/nice/organized) layout, no visual direction. It doesn't hurt my eyes but it makes me not want to look at it. I mean, look at it. Does it attract you? No. Then look at something like this: http://miralize.com/ http://www.panic.com/blog/ It's just convincing, it knows what it is, it has a style, a direction. Your site is just that, a site.

I actually used to have quite a large graphic on the front page with selling points et cetera, but I took it down because I found it was quite bulky in a sense. I quite like the examples you've shown me though, so I'll definitely have a look into that. Thanks for the feedback.

What is a "Mailer Pro" and a "Topsites"?
What is a "Mailer Pro" and a "Topsites"?
Mailer Pro
Bulk Email Marketing Made Easy.
Topsite - can be multiple things but is most likely this
Topsite is a term used by the warez scene to refer to high-speed FTP servers used by release groups and couriers for distribution, storage and archiving of warez releases. Topsites have very high-bandwidth Internet connections, commonly supporting transfer speeds of hundreds to thousands of megabits per second; enough to transfer a full DVD in minutes. Topsites also have very high storage capacity; a total of many terabytes is typical.[1][2]

Mailer Pro Topsite - can be multiple things but is most likely this
That's already in the TOS, it could use some improvements. Or better, just only allow people to make blogs about them self (or is that also not allowed?). The TOS is ridiculous.
Your ToS is ridiculously strict, half the stuff really doesn't need to be against it. Also, overselling is part of hosting, most hosts oversell 'tactically', meaning while yes, it's oversold, it's not overloaded (there's still plenty of CPU, RAM, disk space [& enough disk speed] & bandwidth available to all clients). Overselling is a good thing, it means server power isn't wasted and secondly means the savings can be passed on to the customer.
Strict TOS, virtually no information about the servers, barely any information on features, no downtime guarantees, doesn't look reliable, etc Really, how do you expect someone to buy webspace through you when you don't tell them where the server is, what the server is running, what the server's hardware is, what version of php is on it, what version of mysql is on it, how many databases are available, what the restrictions on the databases are, how many database users are available for creation, what version of cpanel, whether there's shell access, whether there is mail access, whether you can change .htaccess, and basically everything? At this point you could legally just offer someone a single page that they can paste php into through an editor, with the current description.
I was a little suprised by this: http://www.google.com/search?q=You+are+allocated+a+monthly+bandwidth+allowance.+This+allowance+varies+depending+on+the+hosting+package+you+purchase.+Should+your+account+pass+the+allocated+amount+we+reserve+the+right+to+suspend+the+account+until+the+start+of+the+next+allocation%2C+suspend+the+account+until+more+bandwidth+is+purchased+at+an+additional+fee%2C+suspend+the+account+until+you+upgrade+to+a+higher+level+of+package%2C+terminate+the+account+and%2For+charge+you+an+additional+fee+for+the+overages.+Unused+transfer+in+one+month+cannot+be+carried+over+to+the+next+month.&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
That is an awful lot of copied TOS, quite surprising.
To be perfectly honest, it doesn't suprise me too much. Hell, look at SitePoint and stuff, when people ask about starting website hosting companies the general advice actually is to just copy. Of course, I will get the ToS on my site sorted out soon, since it wasn't a great idea of me to copy the ToS, so I will see that it is updated soon. While my original intention of course was to promote StuzzIT, I'm quite pleased with the feedback I have received, since it should help me to improve my services and if nothing else, any future projects that I work on. Thank you very much for the feedback everyone.
Also Would be cool, but it's kind of expensive.
Haha yeah. I think most new extensions et cetera are quite expensive though, but is .it that recent? That's just Italy, surely? I'm willing to bet it's cheaper inside of Italy, or for Italian citizens though. Even .com domains are far cheaper from within the US compared to in the UK, hence why I use US based registrars now.
