My computing course at college teaches Pascal (they say because its easier even if it's not practical) and next year they move onto Delphi.
What's a good path to take to other languages (e.g. what languages should I progress to?) , I have a good understanding off Pascal and a basic understanding on Delphi so far.
You could start learning C now. Then after you finish your Delphi class (where you will learn about Object Oriented Programming) you can jump to C++ or another OOP language.
I would recommend python as a nice modern, useful, easy beginner language. Everyone else here tends to recommend C# though, which is also perfectly decent.
