So I want to make this PayPal donation system on my site where people can donate money and get some sweet things to thank them. Now I've worked with a simple donate button before, but is there any way to check if the user has actually donated something? If not, what else should I use?

Is there something like this available for personal Paypal accounts?
IPN is available for personal accounts as well.

Every site talking about IPN says you need a business account, and Paypal wants me to upgrate to business when I go to an IPN page.

The Netherlands.
I use IPN's fine. I'm in the US but my PayPal account is Premier, not personal. I think I read somewhere that Premier accounts were for US residents only, but I'm not sure about that. If Premier accounts are available to you, see about upgrading to it.
Well, looks like I've had some luck.
I upgraded to a business account before my second post here. Turns out I shouldn't have done that, so I sent Paypal a mail, asking for them to downgrade my account to personal.
Just got an e-mail telling me they've downgraded my account to premier. So yeah, I guess premier accounts are available to me.
It still says business on my account tho, I guess it takes some time?
Give it at most 2 business days and if you're still experiencing issues give them another call/email.
