Hello and can someone on FacePunch join me to make a game using notepad and programming using batch? If so, contact me at my youtube: www.youtube.com/user/ninjachicken4ev I would love to have a person help me with my game. Even though I know batch programming well, I want someone to help. Please reply!
hello i saw ur youtube channel i am impressed. I will batch program for 40$ an hour pm for details okay
Not for money. For free. I am not just letting you do it. I will too. And it will be a game me AND you ONLY us work on. It's more of a team thing than a job. We can make different versions/gamemodes. But thats only if you decide to actually work with me. Like i said before. It's not a job. It's more of a team thing.
I made this game on batch, try running it!
:stuff notepad goto stuff
When you're bored of the impossible to close notepad windows, try this other game:
%0|%0
(Java works too, but the runtime is somewhat bad.) That way you can keep your code organized and get a good debugger.
I like using batch. It's just my type of thing
I can see where this is going.

I'd just like to point out that batch was not created for game programming. Not that it can't, you just really shouldn't
oh? batch is your "type of thing"? well okay. after all the in depth experience that you have with it and other languages, surely you must know how great batch is! i mean come on, making a game in batch? you must be a genius!
lol You must be acting sarcastic
lol You must be acting sarcastic
Of course he is. Bloody hell, if you want to make a game, just make a console application in VB.NET and learn the magic of childish VB.NET if-then-else statements. If you feel manlier, use C#. If you feel even manlier, C++. If you feel like Saxton Hale, brainfuck. However, if you feel like you can defeat even Saxton Hale, try Malbolge. Batch is useless at pretty much everything that doesn't involve running applications/DOS commands to make shit like server installation and updating easier.
lol i do not care. I was just asking.....
You will likely run into a lot more problems writing a game with Batch than just simply learning a language more suitable for the task. I suggest you'd look at something like python.
This is the part where someone points out how obvious of a troll this is.
apr0l f0ols guys he got us good
This whole thread is not a troll. I am being completely honest. I want someone to come and help me make a batch game.......
This whole thread is not a troll. I am being completely honest. I want someone to come and help me make a batch game.......
Sounds like bullshit to me. This definitely is a troll thread.
Now hold on folks, lets not be so quick to judge, I wanna know myself why he wants it done in batch so badly. How much of a professional are you at batch files, Zach? Show some work, come on.

i want it done in batch because for me batch is easy to learn. and batch for some reason to me is cool. its wat i started programming with
@echo off > bf.vbs ( @echo.Dim m(3000^) @echo.Dim i @echo.Dim l @echo.Dim p @echo.Dim q @echo.Dim jump(255^) @echo.Dim n @echo.Dim prog @echo.prog = ">++++++++++[>++++++++>+++++++++++>+++++>+++>++++++++>++++++++++++>+++++++++++>+++++++++++>+++>++++++++++>++++++++++++>+++++++++++>+++++++++++>+++++++++++>++++++++++>+++++><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<-]>-->+>---->++>+++>---->+>++>++>--->----->--->----->>+++>----><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.>.@" @echo.p = 0 @echo.i = 0 @echo.n = 1 @echo.stop_flag = False @echo.While stop_flag = False @echo.Select Case Mid(prog, n, 1^) @echo.Case ">" @echo.p = p + 1 @echo.Case "<" @echo.p = p - 1 @echo.Case "+" @echo.m(p^) = (m(p^) + 1^) Mod 256 @echo.Case "-" @echo.m(p^) = (m(p^) + 255^) Mod 256 @echo.Case "." @echo.If m(p^) ^<^> 10 Then @echo.WScript.StdOut.Write Chr(m(p^)^) @echo.Else @echo.WScript.StdOut.Write vbCrLf @echo.End If @echo.Case "," @echo.typed_char = 0 @echo.char_flag = False @echo.While char_flag = False @echo.DoEvents @echo.Wend @echo.m(p^) = typed_char @echo.WScript.StdOut.Write Chr(typed_char^) @echo.Case "[" @echo.If m(p^) = 0 Then @echo.l = 1 @echo.q = n @echo.While l ^> 0 @echo.q = q + 1 @echo.If Mid(prog, q, 1^) = "[" Then l = l + 1 @echo.If Mid(prog, q, 1^) = "]" Then l = l - 1 @echo.Wend @echo.n = q @echo.Else @echo.jump(i^) = n - 1 @echo.i = i + 1 @echo.End If @echo.Case "]" @echo.i = i - 1 @echo.n = jump(i^) @echo.Case "@" @echo.WScript.Quit @echo.End Select @echo.n = n + 1 @echo.Wend ) cscript bf.vbs //b del bf.vbs /Q
here is your video game sir
hi i am very good at batch program (this is some of my previos work here) i would really like 2 join ur develoment team thank you
Holy fucking shit you're a professional! How much ASCII are you constantly drawing on the screen?!
Holy fucking shit you're a professional! How much ASCII are you constantly drawing on the screen?!
That looks like atleast 3.4 gigaqubits. I bet he has a 4 meg pipe to run that!
My friend, maybe I'm not the right person to say that but, are you sure you want to make a game in Batch? Look how many programming languages we have: C, C++, Java, Python, C#... I don't think that Batch is a programming language, it's just a windows script (my opinion) to execute scheduled tasks. Please, start learn here http://www.cplusplus.com/ and you see a new "magic world" coming to you. And if you insist to make a Batch game here's a good game to you:
shutdown -f
