I come looking for a Programmer that might be interested in joining up with a few other team members for a UDK project. Our current programmer hasn't really done much so far. So we're looking for someone else to help us out. Somebody that has had experience with Unreal Script is preferred, but it easy to learn if you know something like C# or Java. This is also a pretty casual project. We don't expect to make any money from it, and there's no real pressure attached. I'll post specific information about the mod below; We have 7 Team members, some of which from Facepunch; ZnnR - Artwork / Textures Pinecleandog - 3D Modeling / Level Design / Coodinator Waddlesworth - Programming Aspen - Music / Sound Stiffy360 - 3D Modelling / Textures Shirk - 3D modelling / Textures / Level Design Tahlia - Writing / Story Right now we are only interested in finding one more programmer, Let me know if you're interested.
Title: ??? Genre: (Horror)/Puzzle Engine: Unreal Engine Release: Q3/Q4 2014 Synopsis The player is a former millionaire that is still living in his broken, “abandoned” mansion. In his past he has made the wrong decisions in life causing his family to leave him and he becomes broke. This causes the character to have a fixation on changing the past so his life could be different and better. The goal of the game is to change his past so the present is better. However this can't be done all at once. Wondering around the present realm you will experience blockades and challenges where you must change something in the past to overcome these “puzzles”. The player must find items that cause flashbacks where he/she can enter the past realm and change the present (for example: unlock a cupboard as the key is missing in the present realm).
There's plenty more information in some other documents if you're interested. Here's some of the W.I.P(Keep in mind it is in early development): [img_thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33714868/!!!game/game/room01.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/33714868/!!!game/game/windowholes.jpg[/img_thumb]
Concept seems really cool. Cannot offer anything except my best wishes!
this project is going to be the bee's knees
I'm interested, but I don't think I could do it. Good luck on your project, though!
congratulations on being one of the only people on facepunch to have an idea, ask for help, and actually have something to show for it. looks great, keep up the good work.
Sounds interesting :) You would probably have a better time finding somebody who knows UnrealScript on the UDK forums, if you haven't asked there already. Personally I wouldn't go out of the way to learn a language that is being dropped soon with the release of the UDK for Unreal 4. Not sure when that will happen though.

Anywho it looks like forum account activation is manual on the UDK forums but thanks.
I've been considering getting back into UDK, but I have some Graphic Design projects I need to finish up. If you don't mind having a programmer who needs a few weeks to get back into UnrealScript, and complete a few projects, I'd love to join the team. Either way, I really like the synopsis so far, and would like to hear more about it! Feel free to PM me, or add me on Skype: Aexionn :D
This looks like it'll be one of the first ideas brought to this forum that'll actually turn out great. Thank bloody god you are actually taking a big role in the project, unlike that last time someone had an idea. I wish you good luck.
I am plenty experienced with C# and have previously worked on unity engine which also includes C# and javascript.
