How old are you?
How old are you?
http://steamcommunity.com//id/Winterbliss I think this answers your question.
http://steamcommunity.com//id/Winterbliss I think this answers your question.
When did age become a personal matter?
When did age become a personal matter?
It's fairly normal for people not to put it online (though I still may answer if someone asks depending on context). The OP appears to have neglected the FP profile privacy settings though, assuming the data is correct.
When did age become a personal matter?
When this guy thinks he's going to be able to pull off a Bioshock 1/2 remaster lol
Well My Age Doesnt Really Matter At all. I can just say that im Pretty much a Teen and still Go to school. However like i Said age doesnt Matter..Hell even 1 of the Developer of Reign of Kings is Even 15 So dont Really Rate my Projects Because Im Maybe Too Old or Too Young. [editline]30th April 2015[/editline]
When this guy thinks he's going to be able to pull off a Bioshock 1/2 remaster lol
I can still try.

What you have to understand is that people somewhat regularly appear in this section, post about their "amazing game idea / project / remaster" and then disappear a week later because as it turns out they have zero skills and try to get recognition by bragging (which doesn't work here because (most of) the people here are good enough at what they do to quickly judge another person's aptitude for a given project). They usually completely disappear about a week later once they figure out it would take years of effort to go through with it from their current position. There sometimes are very talented beginners, but almost all of them have a very different start because they come here with an interest in the matter and not (that much) impressing others or a specific end product. Your case is slightly different since you're not the team's coder, but either that person has so much no idea of what they're doing that they can't remotely judge project difficulty or you didn't ask them for input or are misrepresenting things here. Teams very often fall apart quickly if the project lead is ignorant of the very high work/result ratio in programming (though with existing engines that alleviated slightly), so please be considerate in that regard once you notice things won't work out as you think. Your project ideas are definitely very art heavy too though if you're aiming for somewhat acceptable quality. All that said, it's quite nice to have artists, especially ones interested in doing assets, visiting the section, since many of us here can't do much in that regard. The art that's posted in WAYWO usually has higher quality but you shouldn't let that discourage you once there's some gameplay to frame it. I'm unhappy with Garry removing the art section from the forum, since it was nice to browse and see what people did. The threads have been migrated to General Discussion though.

I'm not sure how much this applies to art or high-level development but here's a piece of advice that works well for me: In programming it's easy to make bits of work reusable by turning them into smaller projects or dependencies. Since there are a lot of shared requirements for different end products, it's possible to continue with the larger ones while making a much smaller one that way. It's likely a lot more difficult with art assets though because the shared parts would be very visible instead of being almost completely hidden. Nintendo seems to reuse a lot of assets but they also have a very consistent style across certain franchises.
Have you coded a program which generates a random number to determine if you capitalize a letter or not?
Nope, he just applied the german pattern for Upper and lowercase.
Nope, he just applied the german pattern for Upper and lowercase.
Exactly
Savant, get your avatar picture on so I can remember you
Savant, get your avatar picture on so I can remember you
Funny Story I Cant find a 64x64 Picture of my interest im searching for 1 1/2 Days now..Nothing..Im fuckin stupid
Savant, I started posting in this section when I was 14 so you're all good. My best advice for you (as both an artist and a programmer), is to keep doing what you're doing. Try to make as many different models as you can, don't work too long on any one model. Although detail is good, you'll learn more with each model you make rather than making any one model that's really good Also, try to read as many books as you can on modeling/whatever else you want to do. It'll help you learn even more from each model you make and you'll be 5-10 times better in no time

Then just post smaller updates for threads like WAYWO and Creative Work in order to get some feedback from great people!
