Hello we are searching a developer for our Harry Potter thamed DarkRP based serious roleplay server.
Trying to finda good coder for a long-term partnership who can solve problems creatively, and create high quality , optimized content for us.
We have plans on custom sweps, minigames, harvest system and many other things
I never hired a developer before but my budget is around ~ 200$
I need someone of course who dosen't hate the world of Harry Potter
If you are interested working for me on anything please feel free to add me @ http://steamcommunity.com/id/167147156/
This is not a troll post btw, Its hard to find good coders who has time on this.
I have made a job request on scriptfodder but only 13y old people added me, thats why I am here.
I don't think many experienced programmers would be interested in making another DarkRP variant

Probably because you're not paying anything and give almost no information about the project or your team. Also your original post is not written very well, therefore not inspiring professionalism. You get what you pay for, and 13-year-olds are probably the only ones willing to work for free on a DarkRP variant.

In that case you should update your post with an hourly rate that you're willing to pay. The default assumption is no compensation.

What he is saying is that noone over 13 is going to take a job like that because you are giving them the equivalent of pocket money for the work they are doing. Noone cares about your ambitions while you plan to underpay them
Okay I never hired a developer before, 200$ is no enough? I dont know in how much time and work can the things to be done that I have came up with

Do you understand that if you don't post as a professional, you're not going to get a professional to work for you? You post like a 13-year-old, therefore you get only 13-year-olds that want to work for you.

$200 might give you four hours worth of work, will your project take someone four hours to code?

:) In that case I have also more of course
if the coder can do it in 4hours, then yes

So you don't know how long it'll take to implement and your description isn't specific enough for a developer to figure out. Why don't you post an hourly rate instead?

You are searching for programmers on a forum where 90% of people are from western countries where they can get 10-15$ an hour for putting stuff on shelves in a market. 200$ sounds a lot for you and me, but in the west you need to add another zero.
loled in my third world country you get 2 $ / hour for market shelves work :)
thanks for reminding tho, i still hope on that 10% maybe or I just go back and finish it with the small children at scriptfodder, eventually it will be played by them anyway
An experienced coder who can solve problems creatively, and create high quality, optimized content charges a minimum of $30 an hour in a contract where I come from.

Aw man no joke if I could do GLua and there was enough interest I'd love an HP DarkRP variant
"Avada Kedavra!"
"WTF RDM, MODS!!!"
"I'm RP'ing DE"
"That doesn't mean you can RDM"

Yeah your looking at Min 30 per hour, The company I worked at, They billed clients 400 per hour for me to develop stuff for them.
Once they got me to develop a website which was the teaser to a later website, it was one page and they billed the company 15k... THis preview site was up for 4 days.
What if the paid coder cannot produce good results in a few hours? Do they have some kind of milestones that they have to reach, or you just fire them or something?

Your english is actually quite good, but...
But it needs to get better and yes, it matters a lot. If you want to work with professionals, you need to spice up your skills, and communication skills are ones you need to ramp up.
[editline]13th April 2016[/editline]
Also you must understand quite lots of (professional) coders got burned by idea guys, so this is why pros are rude & assholes like that.
[editline]13th April 2016[/editline]
Also few hours of programming work is nothing. And it depends of wage, some professionals work for 10-15$ per hour, some 100$ per hour, really it depends.

It's not just his language, he comes across as fairly immature and ignorant.
That too.
I'll give the simple answers.
Nobody is going to do the work for you. Learn lua and do it yourself.
Come back once you learn how stupid and pointless the idea is.
