• Customizing Wordpress Theme Directories
    1 replies, posted
Hey everyone. I'm delving into the world of Wordpress, and I'm interested in changing the folder structure. By default, Wordpress searches the root directory of a theme as well as page-templates for overriding PHP files. What I'd like to do is reorganize the theme folder so I have a folder called "templates", and two folders within: "partials" and "pages". I've done some searching and found no results about this. It's not the most important thing ever, but I like having more control of how files are organized, and I'm going to start on a new theme as soon as I wake up. Any ideas?
Have just the same question.. Just changed my Wordpress theme ( on http://www.templatemonster.com/wordpress-themes.php , from popular provider ) , and would be grateful to hear any recommendations.
