• UV Wrapping Distortion

So I have this model I made in Blender 2.59 - And when I try to UV unwrap it, it comes out all wibbley-wobbley-curvy-wurvey. (Angle Mode) (Conformal Mode) Not really sure what is causing it. Checking or unchecking fix aspect and fill holes doesn't do much. Here are my unwrap seams - (They're basically just at the corners in case you have trouble seeing that).
Yeah, I'm also having this problem. I don't know why blender thinks its a good idea to distort the maps.
Welcome to the world of UV mapping!
Okay found a solution, I had to separate the indented parts of the box from the rest. Now my UV Wrap is all disorganized and scattered though.
Welcome to UV mapping! Prepare your anus.
Welcome to UV mapping! Prepare your anus.
It really isn't too hard once you get used to it. Just need to get practice in and watch a few good tutorials.

Boo Blender
Boo Blender
I actually really like blender. It's, in my opinion, way more streamlined then most other modeling software. It may not be as powerful as Maya or 3ds Max but it's getting closer with every release. Also, it's completely free.
Boo Blender
I love Blender. I use it way more than my student version of 3DS Max.
