Ok so i decompiled an mdl file and I got 3 smds annd 1 qc file but when I open the model.smd(we'll just name it model for this) file in 3Ds Max and there's no texture, and the mdl came with mulitple vtf files, not a single tga. I know how to convert the vtf to tga but the vtfs are for individual parts not the whole entire model. Is there a way to get this single texture or a way to sperate all the parts of the smd like an obj so I can add the textures individually? Thank you for any help. edit: If you're asking this aswell, all you need to do is convert the textures your model uses into bmps
You need to convert all the vtfs. Models can, and frequently do, use more than one texture.
yeah I figured it out, I just needed to convert the vtf to bmp, thanks anyway ;)
