[BLENDER] Using bones for shape keys in faceposing?

Does anyone know how to go about doing this???
I'm currently trying to do faceposing for my lightning model. So far I've been able to do a good amount of faceposing using simple shape keys such as smiling and frowning as well as the eyebrow movements. However, I want to use the facebones to do the eyelids so I can get a realistic eyelid open/close effect. Is this possible to do in Blender? So far I haven't been able to find anything specific about it, or else maybe I'm just not looking for the right thing.
Can I get some help?
Nope. You can only do flexes in Blender manually. If you want to use the face bones make the flexes in Max and use Blender for everything else, that's what I do.
EDIT: Apparently not. Look below!
Unfortunately I don't have Max so I can't do that...... :(
There's nothing stopping you from making a face rig in Blender. You could even apply poses of it as shape keys. To get the eyelid to "arc" with only shapekeys, you'll need more than one shape key.

Is it possible that you could go into a bit more detail on that? I'm currently looking up some tutorials but I would appreciate it if you could give me a bit more explanation so I know what I should be looking for.
Same here. How are you supposed to apply bone transformations in shapekey mode?
On the armature modifier "Apply as Shape". You have to re-add the armature modifier for new shapes and poses though.

Hmm??? So what I'm getting here is that you need to pose the model, apply the armature model in "Apply as Shape", and then add the adjusted vertices to the new shape key???
EDIT: I don't really get it. I applied the armature modifier after adjusting the bones to the desired pose, but the model's eyes go back to normal after I select the "Apply as Shape" button. Is there a parameter I need to select to make the transformations permanent after applying the modifiers???
Holy cow, that's awesome. This changes everything! Thanks for the tip.
