[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/xvxs3lR.png[/IMG] I’ve begun to recently ripping models, sounds, animations and textures from the [I]Id Software[/I] Title [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rage_(video_game)"][I]RAGE[/I][/URL], The game itself runs on the [I]Id Tech 5 [/I]Engine which is the predecessor to [I]Id Tech 4[/I], Which ran such titles as [I]Quake 4 [/I]& [I]Doom 3[/I]. Unlike [I]Id Tech 4[/I] the new engine uses such things as [B]Mega Textures[/B] which as many as people know are extremely hard to work with. Models can be imported through some Blender script which can be found on XeNTaX, about textures, people who have RAGE, get the Creation Kit for it, and the model textures are found there, uncompressed and in TGA format. As I do not own RAGE I can't give you straight location of them.

[I]Unforgivably PKDragon unpacker can't help me.[/I]
Then you only need someone willing to convert the models, so far if you/or someone else have the game, just needs to run the CK and let it uncompres all the files so they can be used for "modding". I guess even the models uncompressed and ready for import are in the folders, but without game/CK I can't say exactly, only what I've heard. And yes...I'm also interested in RAGE models. Missed all the chances to buy it, game from the rest of sources is useless.
Ok, Explain to me every part of using CK and then what CK is and I'll happily extract them. But, you'll need to be able to turn them into ragdolls since i don't understand that to well.
Well, open up your Steam, go to Library and change it to Tools not Games, and look for RAGE Tool Kit, you need to install that, size from what I've heard it's around 35GB =) Once that is done, when you open the Tool Kit and load the map? The TK will uncompress the RAGE files, that's how I understand it does. Also, I never converted models to GMod/Source engine (except some prop_statics for own usage) so I'm not the man to continue the porting of models :) I'm interested in models cause I use them in Maya/Blender or some other, I'm a collector in some way :P

Anyway, I've been looking at the file structure in the Rage Editor and its similar to Doom 3 and Quake 4 so there shouldn't be much issue there its just leaching or unpacking the files. Which may create some issues, I'm just worried the fact that the Game is 17GB so how much will it all be unpack assuming its compressed?
Anyway, i've manage to extract all of the game sounds so that's progression... but sadly no models! [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/33zZtnf.png[/IMG] [B]- Edit[/B] I've manage to extract the models just need to convert them.

I've manage to Decompiled the entire game and extract the delicious content but i'm stuck at the Model Format. You can export some of the models using the editor itself. The models are in the folder though in the form of .md6 but I have no way of opening them.

Meh, sucks not to have the game to work with.

I've manage to do a great amount of things since my last post i've manage to extract the models along with the bones and they are ready for rigging. I did have some help from a very helpful person without their help i honestly don't think i could of made it to this stage I'm glad [I]Facepunch[/I] still has a few kind souls. Which reminds me, I'm looking for people with free time on their hands to do the following things NPCs, Ragdolls, Vehicles & Weapons. I'm also currently working on rigging the [I]Sentrybot [/I]as a ragdoll using [URL="http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=542906"]Mariokart[/URL] ragdoll guide, I wish he had made a video on his guide but sadly he can't update it now. Is there any chance you could get the all the vehicles models, including those not usable by the player?

I don't think i can get the animations they are in a strange format i'll find out more about it soon.
