Anybody can write a program that looks in the hex code of texture at eight character, and if it is equal to 04 or 05, replaces it with a 03?
This isn't really the place to be asking for coding programs, this is a modelling/skinning subforum.
But anyway its not too hard to do that in a hex editor anyway just use the replace option set it so it replaces 05/04 with 02/03 then highlight the one you want changed and click, then it will be set to do that for any other files, all you have to do then is click replace then ok ^^ It's what i've been doing with those Alien Swarm textures anyway :P
Wouldn't it be easier just to open them manually unless you've got hundreds of textures to be hexed?
When the texture 10-30, of course manually easier, but after 100 textures begin to tire.
