So, I already posted a thread like this in the steam community help and tips section, but I didn't get any replies at all, so I figured I might as well try FacePunch and see if anyone here would help me. Anyways, the first thing I need help with would be skinning, I am trying to add an East German Cold War camouflage onto the Rusty's National Guard uniform while keeping the same texture details like the pockets, buttons, etc. using Gimp 2.8 model manipulation program, not Photoshop, I am using the OD top and bottom so I don't have to remove any other camouflage, I have already tried adding another layer in overlay mode and then adding the camouflage, but you can only use patterns instead of custom images I think. So, can someone please tell me how to add an overlay or transparent layer and then put the camouflage image on that layer, I know I sound stupid, but I am new to skinning. Thank you for any replies in advance.
Next thing I need help with: Body grouping, I want to add extra helmets, hats, gear etc. onto my WIC style soldiers using Blender 3D, I have already decompiled the model, and looked at some helpful guides but all of them involved a model with the body group already attached, I want to know how to add body groups to a model with multiple body groups already. I know it has something to do with the QC file, which I have, but I am new to modelling for GMod also. I know that there are not pictures and It's not that good of a thread, but keep in mind that this is my first thread and I kind of just rushed it, and I really need some helpful replies. Thank you in advance.
Also, I tried to add images, but for some reason the URLs didn't work in FacePunch.
