Greetings..
I used Studiocompilier a long time ago, for Compiling / Decompiling.. took a break. It now doesn't seem to work? Does anyone have a working Compilier & Decompilier for Source.. ?
Sincerely,
Plurbus.
http://www.wunderboy.org/apps/guistudiomdl2.php - GUI Studio Compiler, far superior version of Studio Compiler. But you can just use studiomdl.exe in the sdk to compile models.

Ha! Real Men compile using Valve's tools, a batch file, and their bare hands! Sure, it's more complex to set up, and it requires some technical proficiency, but it makes recompiling a folder full of models a snap. Or rather, a double-click.

Yup thats how I do it, was just giving them options ^^
I use both of those actually.
But GUI is giving me the no gameconfig.txt thing, I'm reinstalling Source SDK to see if that fix's it now..
And MLDE works - but all I can get is the skeleton into 3DS Max.. I have the importer and everything. I try to import the SMD, but all I can get is a skeleton. Couldn't find a good tutorial for MLDE..
Try running the game first. That usually fixes the gameconfig.txt problems.

Didn't fix it...
Huh. Have you tried "Refresh SDK Content"?
I had to put -game "<path to game here>" after my compile line to get it to work. you should try the same.
Another thing.
My Decompilier works, and when I import a SMD Model into 3DS Max with my SMD Plugin. I only seem to be able to get the skeleton.. not the model itself?
Are you importing the reference or just the animation
