BG2 developers re-did most of their models, they look half decent now.
The weapons are ok, though apparently they took out the long tom rifles or whatever. (The ones that looked awesome.)
Everyone needs to stop telling people to get BG2 Models. They are IMPOSSIBLE to pose. They also have a shit ton of rigging errors. Also, I asked Shotgunguy who is a rigger to rig some Union and Confederate models a long time ago. I got it from a mod with some extraction and converting tools. He thinks he still has them somewhere, but he hasn't been working on them. So, ask him to finish them.
At least they exist and it's more helpful to give some than nothing at all.
