• .VVD Error

So I just compiled a model with GUIStudioMDL, set to the Orange Box version. The model loaded fine in the model viewer, when the configuration was set to Half-Life 2. However, when I spawned the model in G-Mod, the console reported something was wrong with the .vvd. I still was able to move it with the physgun, and it made collision noises, but the model itself was invisible. I compiled a different model without a collision mesh, and it spawned fine. What's going on here?
use episode1's bin instead of orange box's. I believe that would fix your problem.
Nope, that didn't fix it. [editline]03:40PM[/editline] I tried the studiomdl in the source2007 folder of the sourcesdk, that doesn't fix it either.
I think it's about time for a bump... Come on guys, I really need help.
Try normal StudioMDL?
Set your source engine and game to that. Then use the studiomdl in C:\Steam\steamapps\asdfasdf\sourcesdk\bin\ep1\bin\studiomdl.exe
Nope, still nothing. It's still not loading....I think I need to use the orange box version because of the engine change...
Nope, still nothing. It's still not loading....I think I need to use the orange box version because of the engine change...
You shouldn't have to I use the Ep1 one (as the OB one doesn't work for me).
Well, the Ep1 one isn't working either... I'm still getting the .VVD error, even without the physbox.
Alright, an update: The Source2007 version spawns, but it's invisible. The Ep1 version doesn't spawn and it's icon is an error. I can't say anything about the OB version because I'm missing a .dll again. Off to play TF2, because apparently I can't fix this.
missing a .dll? did you try updating your sdk content then trying the above settings again?
