• Nulls as Bones

So I'm trying to export a model with just nulls acting as the bones. I don't need an actual skeleton and it would get too complicated. But when I export, either the null's not there, or the animtions aren't. What am I doing wrong?
What is a null? Also what modelling program is this in, would be much easier to help if we knew that ^^

The thing is, in XSI, making and positioning bones is really complicated. When I decompile a model, then import it back into XSI, all the bones get turned into nulls.
