Well, would it be possible if someone could rip the models from the game Rockband: The beatles? With using atleast the beginning beatle era (the cavern club specifically) , the sgt.pepper era (where they all had mustaches and kewl suites), and the final days (like shown in the revolution music video AND the apple rooftop concert) People ripped halo 3 models. And since halo 3 is only on the xbox, hopefully they could do the same for the beatles rockband. Hopefully with full working facial expressions. Who wouldint want to launch ringo from a catapult for the lulz? Or take screenys of them doin' LSD. Atleast the bit older ones: then the sgt.pepper then the final years
Nice idea. They would be great for posing and stuff, but I'm not sure if this is possible or not. Since Halo 2 was on PC, those models you saw may have been from Halo 2.
No one has ripped from Halo 3.
You can rip from Xbox games though, but it depends on the format the models are in. Also your not the first to ask for these :P
Well im probably not the first one to ask. Though i could not search for a similar thread. As for those halo props...they were halo 2 XD I have seen a few xbox/ps3 ripped models. My dvd drive can read all the unhid files on ps2 game disk's and successfully extracted some .dff's from san Andreas. But hopefully someone can find this pack and/or rip it and make it garrysmod compatible.
You can read and extract from PS2 disks interesing, is that using an emulator or just an extractor/unzipper? (Theres been about 4 other requests :P http://www.facepunch.com/search.php?searchid=1248305)

But I just simply put the ps2 disk in my dvd drive, it read it and allowed me to acsess files.
Could someone do I am the Walrus Beatles?
Beatles Rockband models wound fit right in tf2 with their kinda cartoonish looks
No one has ripped from Halo 3.
He's right. The models people have are custom made or edited of older versions.
The whole question of whether or not you can rip from Xbox 360 is irrelevant...have you all forgotten that Rock Band is multiplatform? Loads of people have ported things from Wii games. Dunno about PS3, though. Point is, it's still possible to rip these models.
For the Xbox ones you have to be able to convert the actual model files (so then they will be t-posed if you can), for Wii games I think you have to run them through an emulator (at least I think that what Dolphin is) and use 3d Ripper DX to capture the models (you can backup the Wii disks but very few of the formats have been found out). I have no idea how you get stuff from PS3 games.
Well, regardless of HOW it's done, I'd be VERY much in favor of it BEING done. Seems appropriate; the whole world seems to be getting Beatlemania all over again. Also goo goo ga-joob
3dx ripper doesn't work in dolphin due to the dx9 plugin not working
huh, thats what Mario said he used to rip from PBR.
huh, thats what Mario said he used to rip from PBR.
Yeah well mariokart64n and S-low are made of magic and can port anything.
You could rip the Wii version of the game, I know there's a Wii ripper out there.
