• How to open .x files?

I'm sure you have all heard of a program called MikuMiku dance madness. Although I don't like the program in particular, the community has made some very interesting props and accessories. Of course MMD only reads props as .x files, and I can't find anywhere on the internet to export them as .obj I think it might have something to do with the fact that .x files are just a bunch of text writing down where the polygons and what the color values are, but it seems no program will open them. I know Metasequoia can export a 3d model as .x, but does not open them. Any idea on how I can at least get an .x file back into a 3d model?
If you use the search function, you would saw the thread about MMD porting models. There is a .X exporter, but apart that is hidding on internet, the results are awful. There is a script to import directly the PMD models to Max. Just search MarioKart64n. P.D: If you are going to port a model, ask for permission first. I´m involved on a troll war agaisnt some people who steals models from MMD, and the consecuences are terrible.

And thanks, I thought that thread was just releases. Generally I try to avoid mariokart's tutorials and what not, but okay.
right hemisphere 3d exploration can open x files and many more; milk shape 3d support x files. :)

3D Object Converter *might* support .x files. Send me one and I'll check. If it works, send me as many as you need converted
