I'm (slowly) making a gamemode I shall use to express a story, taking place in the Half-Life world, but fictional. It'd be cool if I had people who might help me out, for at the moment I am making .bsp maps, writing all the .lua scripts, etc... hence why it's going so slowly, I'm one (relatively lazy) man trying to essentially make an entire game.
Anyway, I will need combine soldiers in this project. Of course, regular models are already available, but a color-changeable assassin model (female elite) does not exist, and I don't believe any female models for the regular soldier / prison guard soldier exist either. This, of course, is why I am writing a request. I'll continue to search, but if anyone could help me find female models of the regular combine soldier, the prison guard soldier, and the combine assassin, which are color-compatible as are most player models, where only sections of them will change color, that would be awesome! If they do not yet exist, if anyone would be so kind as to create them. I'm sure plenty of people would like them, they would be nice for poses, and great player models people might like.
Could anyone be so kind as to create female models for the regular combine soldiers, and prison guard soldiers, plus a combine assassin model? Models that can be colored just like the current soldier player models, where for instance, only the plates on the legs color rather than the entire leg? [t]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/t]
There were some ported from the arcade game Half Life 2: Survivor.

However, not uniquely colorable? And for being from a supposed arcade game, surely low poly count? Colors play a huge role in my soldier rank system, where as poly count is manageable.

They can easily be re-colored, so that's not an issue if you know what to do. As for the poly-count, they're surprisingly not that bad; from what I've seen, the quality ranges from being about the same as Half-Life 2 to being slightly better. I'd say you could manage with those models.

When you say re-colored, you know what I mean right? Not like how the NPC ragdolls color, but like the player models? I've asked in the past how to do that and no one gave me a clear answer.
Where can I find these models, any way?
Oh, and the combine assassin?
Nevermind, saw a model pack video on youtube, the assassin model is combine sniper
Prison Guard model though, like from Nova Prospect, didnt see that; all of the resistance models look cool and useful except medic kinda looks lame for both combine and humans. None of the combine soldier models really looked like the regular combine soldier... There are a lot more combine models, which is cool, but without a female prison guard model it all falls apart.

Assuming you meant making it so that the player can change their own colors in-game like they can for some playermodels, then yes, I think I know what you mean. As for where to find the models (Combine assassin included), I don't know where the exact thread is at, but you should be able to find it by looking for 'Half-Life 2: Survivor' in the site's search system. Someone made a content dump of the models for GMod here in the modelling section, so you should be able to find the thread in this section when you do your search.

It's not gonna be players choosing the color, but it is the same idea. Where the entire model doesn't just get a color multiplier on every part of it (which makes some things have a weird color...), but maybe just the eyes change color, or the shirt, and nothing more. That kind of stuff. Also, from what I saw I did not see one acceptable female adaption of the regular soldier model, nor of the prison guard model which is most important to me for the gamemode.

In the end, I look at these "Half-Life 2: Survivor" models and the only one it really has, of what I asked for, is the assassin model. This doesn't exactly fulfill the request without accurate female regular / prison guard soldier models.
to be fair, there are good models in the model pack I found, that would allow me to make more roles, or more options for humans.
Just so you know adding the code to the vmt and editing the vtf to compensate isn't hard.

That doesn't change the fact that there are no female versions of the prison guard soldiers?

Not prison guards... [t]http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090528225537/half-life/en/images/3/3e/Combine_prison_guard_2.jpg[/t]

and plus that yellow... ruins that model you sent, not to mention the white on the face. The assassin is the female of the elite soldier, as they share the exact same color scheme, and very similar armor.
I can get an entire pack, [URL]http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=153173056[/URL] which includes the engineer model, the assassin model, etc. I looked it up once it was brought to my attention here, but there is just so much wrong with the engineer model that makes it too much unlike the regular soldier model. And of course, again, no prison guard model.

Thanks for mentioning those. It at least found me a female elite model. The female elite looking model they have looks even better than the assassin!
that pack I linked has multiple colour variations including the prison guard. Try reading the description. They've also had considerable work done, compared to the vanilla versions.

Reading is for chumps. Where are my images? I don't want to download something expecting it to have something and finding out it's just shit...
[editline]18th January 2015[/editline]
Also the sites not even in english anymore! Why did steam do that?
[editline]18th January 2015[/editline]
Maybe it will work... maybe, but I am so shit at modifying textures, and I gotta change that yellow into white, the white on the face to the appropriate dark gray, and that's just the engineer combine soldier model, I have no idea how the prison guard model's gonna look.
[editline]18th January 2015[/editline]
Now I need to figure out how to rip the files from the cache though!

Is launching the game once after clicking a check box really that much of an ordeal?
