You would not believe how hard this is to find. - Developers

Does anyone know where to get (or how to make) just some simple magazine models (with textures)? I have looked garrysmod.org up and down for hours, and same with fpsbanana. Everything in fpsbanana is some weird format (not .mdl) and/or is missing textures. Hell, if you even know how to convert some existing models into .mdl format and/or make simple textures for them, that would be great. I'm just looking for like a STANAG magazine, a 7.62 box mag, an LMG belt box, perhaps some generic SMG banana mags and a sniper rifle magazine (the little short ones that hold like 5 rounds). EDIT: Nevermind, I do believe I have found the answer.

I don't believe it is hard, it's pretty easy. You just go to the Release section and find wystan's magless weapons V2 thread.

20-rd mags exist, but are rather uncommon. IIRC, only a few guns use them, mainly ones from the early days of NATO standardization, or some sniper/marksman rifles. Edit: Wait, I was thinking 5.56. Why was I thinking 5.56? Yeah, 7.62x51 is usually in a 20-rd box, 50-rd drum or 100-round belt. Odd that we don't have any.

Sorry I thought 7.62 meant [b]7.62x39mm which is what we here call 7.62[/b]. Which is the caliber for Finnish AK variant, which I lobbed around for a long fucking time, which also has only 30 round magazines. I'm not a kid, and I live in the universe I just mentioned above.

yeah, now that makes sense. i think i have seen a few 20rd 7.62x39 mags, mostly for civ stuff. gman's post is probably what made me think x51, in which case 20rds is the standard, not the exception. how's the rk? i hear a lot of good things about them.
