• Maya 2011?

I know this has probably been asked quite a lot of times, but I couldn't really find a thread that answered my question. Lately, Ive started an education within modeling with Maya 2011, and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get Maya models into source model files, Ive worked my ass off trying to make stuff to work but I just can't figure it out. Do I have to export the models to an old version of maya maybe? Any advice would help, except changing software, I really can't be bothered learning a new software. This seemed like the best section to post this in.

Yeah.. I think I will try to install Maya 2009, load the project file there and then export as a valid file format.
