Needing assistance with this model (I'm a beginner)

It's my first time trying to rig a model, and i've got the hang of it, it's been 3 days since i've tried to make this model perfect but you know, you can only make perfect with practice.

anyways i'm having trouble with it's arm/forearm/elbow whatever you would call it, when i rotate it upwards this happens

i'm no expert, so please no hate ;_; and yes I'm sort of new to 3ds max 2012
