How do i compile?

Ok i have made the model but do I save it as a VMF or a SMD? And what do i do after that?

You export it as .smd for the compiler to turn it into .mdl and others accordingly. You can use compilers such as StduioCompiler, GUIStudioMDL or just the basic studiomdl. There are a few guides to compiling here on facepunch so I suggest you try the search function for more results. :)
