• Bones for Garry's Mod Hands

Hello, friends. Recently, I have been working on a gamemode for Garry's Mod. After making my weapon base, I decided I wanted to make some Bioshock-esque spells. I want to create a viewmodel that contains the bones required for the hands to be parented to. I can animate them myself, but my knowledge of creating bones in a modeling programs is limited. I prefer to use Maya, but if Blender is a better option for this, I'd be more than happy to use it. I am aware of the old Bioshock Plasmids addon by Magenta, but I do not wish to copy the models. Thanks, Master
If you want to use c_hands, it'd be best to simply follow this article about how to do so. The page also includes a download for pre-made c_hands,which you simply need to decompile with a tool like Crowbar. Even if you don't want to use c_hands, the c_hands model on that page has all the bones you need for the hands, which would save you a quite a bit of time. If you have any other questions, simply ask.

I have video tutorials on animation for Garry's Mod with Blender on my Youtube Channel. The basic idea should translate to 3DS if you use that. The basic idea is to export the model with the gmod hand bones, but without the hand's mesh.
