Hello, So I have recently tried to take up modeling/skinning for source for my mod. Anyway, so I used MDLDecompiler to decompile official half life 2 models in order to study the different rigs and bone types a standard valve rig uses. In a continued study I tried to decompile a DOD:S model to study it's rig and what animations the melee actions use on my newly upgraded 7 machine. Problem is, MDLDecompiler now shits out when it tries to process a .qc file, with any type of model. Be it EP2 or EP1, nothing works.
Things worked before when I was using vista so, I'm wondering if there's a problem with 7. Has anyone experienced this yet? Also, no diagnostic reports have come about when it crashes so, I have no further knowledge. I have all the proper .dll files MDLDecompiler needs so I can't fathom anything else being wrong than maybe my SDK files or 7.
Happens sometimes for me. Just gotta keep trying with some models and with others it just doesn't work at all.
