current work of an mesh from model mctavish (cliffhanger mission)

hi , i extracted soap from cliffhanger mission using 3d ripper progam , i imported him to 3ds and then maya were im currently working, i would like to apply .dds textures ( that i ripped from the game ) to suit the .obj model.
i have no experience in uv mapping so i need your help.
this is my work so far :
