Yes, i know that the SOPMOD was designed for the M4A1, but could it be possible for someone to make something similar for the AK-47? I always thought that the AK could use an update.

Did you not recognize the fact that i know that there's no such thing as a SOPMOD for the AK?
I can see where you're coming from, but there's no such thing as a "SOPMOD" for an AK47, "SOPMOD" is only for the M4 family. You might want to look on FPS Banana, I saw a ton of tactical AK47's in the CSS Skin section.

Yes, SOPMOD only refers to the specific set up's for the M4 family. You are thinking about any type of AK. True, a Tactical AK, but it could be a 47, 74, AKM, AN-94, or whatever. All you're really doing is slapping on rail attachments.

Ehh, i always thought that the AK needs it's own rail attachment system similar to SOPMOD.
