• Porting MESH files to Gmod?

I'm trying to convert a few Hyrule Warriors characters (This one, for example) into usable Gmod models. The problem is they're all MESH files, and I have no clue how to import them into Blender. I did some research online and found a model editor called XNALara, but it requires a version of XNA that Windows 8.1 can't install. I tried 3D Model Converter, which couldn't even read the file, and searched online for a MESH-importing script for Blender but found nothing. Anyone know what else I can try?
I've got the source files for Blaco's SFM port of Fi on my hard drive. Unfortunately, there's been a bit of trouble getting them to work properly in GMod as ragdolls (and I'm having problems getting the new physmodel to take properly after re-making it from scratch three times already).
I found a usable model on Models Resource, UV mapped it, used Studiomdl and VTFEdit to make the MDL and VTFs, etc. but when I tried to spawn it in-game it was invisible, and checking the console crashed the game. Now I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong. EDIT: The crashing issue was a setting I somehow accidentally changed, fixed with -dxlevel 95 launch option. A bit of experimenting revealed that the model works perfectly as anything but a ragdoll, and interestingly enough the Fi model I'm using has ears hidden inside the head, visible with some PAC3 tinkering.
You should grab Johnzero7's "2.7xx XPS Tools" package which is located here: http://johnzero7.deviantart.com/ This will allow you to import .xps, .mesh, and .mesh.ascii files into Blender without much hassle. There are tutorials (Newest Deviations) listed, tho the Tools have been updated to 1.5.2 (as listed on the left). Hope this is of some use.
