Hello everyone, I am the project lead of a new game, or rather a remake of an original game, and I'm posting here today because I am in desperate need of artists and possible extra programmers. The project currently is called The Specialists: Boost, a temporary title with a temporary domain name (http://thespecialistsgame.com) until a real name is decided upon. If you know what The Specialists is then you must have figured out that this project is leading towards a remake of the mod, as it has been tried and tried again in the past.
What is (mostly) concrete so far:

• Unreal Engine 4
• Several classic weapons and even new ones to come (possibly not as many)
• Kung Fu and other melee options will be available
• First and third person camera
• Slow motion and powerups for deathmatch modes
• New gamemodes to bring more depth to core gameplay
• Stunts, stunts, and more stunts
• Everything else you loved about TS and much more
Who we need are environmental artists (map meshes and props), player model artists (for those trench coated badasses), and animators (for the slick dives and slides)!

If you've played The Specialists mod before then you know how badly this game needs made, as a current player of the mod I can only see good things to come if this project is done properly. I must also point out that this game will be made to sell via Steam, so you must use commercial (free) software to make models and other things to be placed into the game. Currently we are discussing the art style and theme and of course the title of the game, once that is done we can start bringing in assets and designs and getting the ball rolling. For now please take the time to register on our new website and settle into our new community laid out for TS:B and old TS forum members!
If you know anyone who would be interested and who has the talent, please share this with them so we may not let our dreams be dreams.
I wish this project the best of luck, would really enjoy a new, modern TS.

are we talking 3D modeling or textures?
Uhm, The Specialists already have a sequel - Double Action: Boogaloo, but best of luck.

he worked on Double Action: Boogaloo, check out his Steam Profile
also wasn't that a spiritual successor?

Both, very much both.
And yes I worked on Double Action for a few years, it is a spiritual successor but I believe this project would be more of an official sequel. The Specialists will be our main reference when it comes to our design. Basically imagine TS on Unreal 4 and that's what I'm aiming for, except more gamemodes and new features, and hopefully an easy way to mod it. The biggest thing with TS was that you could modify practically all of your game files, and I'm sure there is a way to replicate that with UE4.
Whoa. Good luck, man. TS was a big part of my childhood. Pretty sure this old-ass avatar is actually from those times.

Thanks for the encouragement! I just hope this project will survive, all I need is the right people!
