So I'm finally getting around to finishing a decent Metro prop pack, but there's one thing that's holding me back.

Most of the prop models from the surface have a layer of snow slathered onto the texture, which makes it not-so-useful in 90% of maps.
To add insult to injury, the Metro: Last Light versions of the surface texture just have the snow replaced with some blurry gross vomit crap

Which is totally UNACCEPTABLE.
Is anyone here a texture wizard that could possibly help, or at least, instruct me on how to remove this god-awful snow?
If you have Photoshop, you could try selecting by "Color Range", mess around with the fuzziness setting until the area is selected, then overlay a color or pattern over it.
There's not much that can be done when the diffuse, normal, and specular maps all have this damned snow/rust patterns.
All you can really do is blend in other parts of the car and if your lucky you might find a texture that's pretty similar on sites like GCTextures.
There is no way to do this simply, if that's what your looking for
Yeah, you are gonna have to recreate these parts covered with snow pattern, I'm pretty sure there isn't a magic way to quickly 'fix' this.
To be honest, I think it will be a hell of a work if you are not experienced with texturing. Not saying it's impossible, but requires a good amount of time and work (as well as a lot of patience) to adjust this texture the way you want.
You can tell the developers didn't even want to put the time and effort in by pasting a massive rust texture that didn't even look similar
Is this good enough?
