• I need a bit of help guys. (SketchUp to Source related)

Ok guys I have this monster I just finished touching up: [IMG]http://i834.photobucket.com/albums/zz265/neenja222/poa.png[/IMG]. (Exactly 1306.96m long) I have the plugin file for source but when I export as .SMD I get "The model appears to have alot of triangles: 29730 faces." or something of that matter. My question is not about that but is about the fact it says it will take 53hours to complete why is that is it because of that large tri count? BTW: This is the Pillar of Autumn from Halo Reach.
Please Guys I want to get this into gmod.
By the way, what is this? Pillar of Autumn or something?

29k tris should be doable for source t obe honest. It might be that sketchup converter is just slow or something. To be honest I've not heard of people using sketchup for props unless very simple. But I do know some people use it for mapping.
what really sucks about this is that when ever i export to smd i cant click anything at all or it goes not responding and crashes.
export to fbx or something and optimize the FUCK out of it in 3ds max or maya or an equivalent program
