Still a WIP. but getting close to finishing. It will not actually be for Gmod, but since it's a model I felt I should post it here...

Still, how does it look so far? It's based off of Susan Coffey.

Ryu gi is that you

As a matter of fact it is.
Then what's the point of posting it here? Think before making threads.
Like the mapping forum, this has become more of a "general modelling" forum than a Garry's Mod exclusive one.
So yeah.

Well fine I guess that makes sense. Theres other sites that would be better for showing off 3d models for stuff not for gmod.
Oh wait http://www.facepunch.com/threads/928472-The-Facepunch-quot-Model-Skin-quot-Pimpage-WIP-Thread-V4
Then again knowing him it's best that this is not in gmod.
I'd like to get to know people's opinions on this. Anyone?
Remove the texture and ask yourself it the model still resembles the reference. Looks like a facegen head, which mostly look fairly androgynous.

Already did that during the time I was modeling the head. I tried to make it look as accurate to Susan as possible.
Make her forehead a bit taller and her eyes' iris smaller.

Okay, thanks.
I gotta be honest, I don't see any resemblance.
Also, I know that the hair is a WIP and all that, but at least make it the right color. The model has an animu feeling, I'm not sure if it's because of the eyes or the hair.

Then you're either blind or...something else.

The hair texture was taken directly from a photo of her, so it IS the right color. Also, someone mentioned that her irises are a big too big, that's probably what's giving her the "animu" look you're talking about.
Here's a smaller version of the picture I used to get her hair texture:

Her eyes look too far apart and the wrong shape.
So you ask for people's opinions, they give them to you, and you say they're blind? You have some sort of massively inflated ego, my pedigree chum.
Your model looks like it's belched out right from facegen, it doesn't look anything like the model you're so obviously infatuated with. You want an opinion? If you want your model to look like the woman in the pictures, start over. Not a single shape is even similar in your model.
EDIT: Yeah, I don't see it. Not one bit.

also, hello Ryu-Gi
I was saying "you're blind" as a joke, it wasn't serious. If it had the "or something else" would have been more specific.
Also, the facial comparison in the above post was actually very helpful. I did get it close, but it's not close enough...
Wait... you didn't... even... compare the mesh to....
Oh okay.
Can you post a wire?
I'll be honest, I wasn't able to work off photos so much when modeling her face, not many of her shots gave me good orthographic views, so I ended up basing the model of some drawings someone made of her. Given, they were actually really good drawings of her, but now that it's being brought up I can see that it was a mistake...there are a few of her photos I could have used instead, instead of basing the model of drawings of her...
oh, and here's the drawings I was talking about. They're not mine.

The model is still salvageable, though, I think, I just need to re-adjust a few of her features and use real photos of her.
There's another problem, though, giving the model a good texture. None of her photos have neutral lighting, so I had to resort to mashing a bunch of photos of her together and adding a skin texture to cover up the rest.
Since I want to use this for my portfolio, I may need to ask Susan's permission. perhaps if I do, I can pay her to do some nice Ortho shots of her face so I can give it a nicer texture and hopefully make the adjustments I need to make the model 100% accurate.
EDIT: Oh, and yeah, I can post a wireframe, I'll post it soon.

Just because you made it, doesn't mean it's perfect. I see no resemblance other than the hair color.
Also, Hi Ryu-Gi :downs:

I'm well aware of this. I am still learning.
Damn, I just missed him.
I enjoyed her nude photos :xd:
