when i used 3d Ripper DX it did not make any frames whenever i pressed F12 when playing Far Cry 2 with 3DR DX. is it possible?

I was actually curious about this back then when I had the game installed. I wanted to port some of the weapons but I never could find any info on doing so. 3D Ripper DX didn't work for me either.
3D Ripper worked for me once I think, but it was a mess. This was like when it came out too so I don't remember anything about it.
