Hi there!
When I started modeling for the Source engine I made these Lego bricks: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=78939
It was hard to build precisely with them. But now that I found these tools (the physgun build mode) it's as easy as creating and uploading backgrounds to gmod.org. So I started over and created new bricks without the Lego logo but with more details, LODs and textures:

More pieces will be added in the next days. I'll try train tracks and bogeys too. If this work was worth it, I'll create a map for these bricks that will also be able to spawn doors and breaking windows for your buildings. Maybe, *sniff* maybe.
:swoon:
Please complete your train tracks and bogeys... they were infinitely better than any other ones available.
Very nice! It's very nostalgic seeing how all of those are put together.
I wanted to create more pieces but there seem to be no interest in this. So I released it:

Use this to build precise and easy:

I love them.
Even if people don't follow the thread doesn't mean you shouldn't make more pieces.
Pretty awesome man, Im subscribed to you on youtube ha I didnt even know you had gmod I subed because of the photoshop tuts.
Anyway great models man.
This is amazing. These blocks look great and the scale is really nice.
Is someone eventually gonna make a Lego map such that there will be a Lego Island someday?
Would be really cool.
Im now shitting bricks.
Surprisingly well-made brick models. This was a fantastic idea by the way.
I just shat a brick. A lego brick full of win! Nice man!

I MADE A TURTLE:

I make some crazy shit when I'm bored.
These bricks are so fucking fun.
Flowers (1), trees and car parts? Pretty please.
there are lots of people wgo like it, were just all to busy using it.
I liek turtellz
This thing ts too amazing to be true.
Had quite some fun playing around with this and found it to be quite easy to build with.
Just need a really big base plate to build on.
My childhood floods back everytime i play this :3:
They look nice and all but they would look better without the baked AO. But, that is only my opinion.
pleease make some more! car parts, ragdolls, anything! they are so great :D
maybe you could include some colour presets too (LEGO No. 1, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28?):

It would be nice to see more of these. They're really neat.
Wow these look great, love the shadowed textures.
I wouldn't mind a properly proportioned LEGO minifigure, though.
Holy fuck this thread is from September 2010, how did I not notice that
[editline]10th January 2011[/editline]
motherfucking automerge
Because psychedelixx bumped it. Anyway I created some railroad pieces in the meantime and it's in general not really time consuming:

(the rails have the same width as the rails in maps, so it's compatible with all train models)
But you probably will never be able to download them because:
- I highly doubt anybody uses them
- I tried many tools (like super parent mutli) but didn't find anything that allows to create stable vehicles made out of many pieces
- Gmod and the Source Engine is not made for anything big, the house in the first post gives me no more than 20 FPS (2,4 Ghz quad core, 275 GTX)
Oh and I can't create ragdolls so no minifigures from my side. But there have been uploaded Blockland models recently:
http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=116236
Daz you Don't have to ragdoll just make a Minifig in Part's like Head, hair'arms, torso, pelvis, legs, arms and some hat's so it's completely customizable.
I'd be glad to help you with the ragdolling as well.
I downloaded and everything but I get errors for the icons
Everything else works beautifully, I've been building with them for a couple days
Awesome, just one teeny little issue: NOTHING HAS STUDS
Well, not NOTHING, the 2x4 inverted slope has them, but everything else just has the shadow texture where the studs should be. My friend installed them and they work fine for him. Then again, I have been having problems with Garry's mod since I even thought about getting it, so maybe I shouldn't be complaining to you.

I had the same issue, to fix it, you just need to set model quality to HIGHT
Great! Now make LEGO Train and Car parts!
