My hammer seems to be missing entities

I begin a map in the counter strike source engine, I get halfway through making the map, finding out that my point_camera entity is missing, so I try adding a few .fgd files to the configuration or switching the configuration itself, but to no avail it seems to still be missing. I look at the entity list to see that I also only have 3 "func_" entities.

what happened to my hammer?

there are brush ents, and there are point ents
css has no point_camera
